Designing Vehicle Wraps Instructions for using the Templates All templates are provided in Adobe Illustrator 8 format. They can also be opened in Adobe Illustrator 9, 10, and CS 1. Once the template is open - Select all. Give it a stroke of 1pt in any color (choose a color that contrasts with your image). By default, all templates come stroked in black. 2. With the Group Selection Tool (white arrow with a Plus sign next to it). Click and drag to select only one side of your vehicle - then copy it. 3. Go to Photoshop, and click new document. Make sure that the Units are set to Inches and not Pixels. Make the resolution 800 DPI. Make sure color format is CMYK and click OK to make your New Document. 4. Paste the Template into the new document, and move it down about 2 inches to give yourself a bleed on the top. 5. Design in the background of that layer WITHOUT CUTTING ANYTHING OUT!! 6. Email us your artwork or, if you prefer, upload it to our FTP server using your favorite FTP software. (Contact CGS to get username and password for FTP.) 7. Remember to name and date the folder that you upload. (ex. Targetgraph_wrap_090607) We have an extensive library of computer templates for every vehicle imaginable.
